That sounds rather detailed for it to be fan fiction, but stranger things have happened.

sorry posnanski, enabling a fucking child rapist is not a flaw. it's a life-defining malfunction.

  5. Pos picked up a nice check. That's all he really cares about at this point, because no one will ever take him seriously, except for fellow jock sniffers in the biz.

"Poz" is either horribly naive or a very bad judge of character.
    Even after all this.
    Probably a lot of both.

Interesting nugget in that link ... Tim Curley's attorney says his client has lung cancer.

Good column. Balanced and thoughtful, which is a lot more than can be said for SportsJournalists.com throughout the entire nightmare. The flaws of everyone not named Sandusky are sad to witness, but that is the human condition. Shock, fear and denial are part of any story like this. Sad but true.

And Posnanski is widely regarded as one of the greatest sportswriters out there in this era, if not the greatest. His vision and perspective got him there, along with his ability to delve into the human condition ... and suddenly he gets thrown under the bus, too? No.

Saw that same nugget in another story about Curley few weeks ago.

    Very moving.
You can almost hear the plaintive performance of the string quartet in the background.
(The same ensemble that usually accompanies such praise for Posnanski.)
At best, Posnanski has been shown to have an enormous blind spot.
He didn't have any help from anyone else in displaying that.

I might feel some sympathy for Posnanski ... if he hadn't opened his mouth days after Sandusky's arrest to that Penn State journalism class, crying about how Paterno was a media-created scapegoat.

He worshiped at the same alter as most Penn State fans.
