Not downplaying what happened at Penn State AT ALL. It was absolutely the foulest thing any of us can imagine, and for the powers-that-be at Penn State to sweep under the rug what was going on is utterly indefensible.

I just happen to have a very, very low opinion of the collective moral acuity surrounding most big-time football programs. Penn State just happens to be the place where it all came to light. I have no confidence that something like it couldn't happen anywhere else.
