It’s a year to ... supposedly ... get back into the swing of things scholarly. Which is a joke because that’s not how it works. It’s a year’s ... severance. No expectations of output accompany it.

 

I'm not sure why it should take that long. How 'bout the entire board resign right this second?

Should be fired for cause. Negligence, dereliction of duty, gross negligence, knowingly complicit, reckless endangerment

 

So more or less he says he was going to retire soon anyway and that he never really had any indication anything was happening but you can always look back and learn. And Michigan State just keeps the status quo running. Nothing to see here.
