Especially after the buzzards at Loser, Wanker and Combover rake their share off the top!

One year I was covering the state juco men's water polo tournament (it was in our town) when the coach noticed someone taking photos of the players only during time outs. While they were all huddled up. In Speedos. He had the guy shooting thrown out.

Not without men's sports being contracted at an equal/greater rate at the same school. Title IX won't allow it. You cut two women's sports, you cut two men's.

usually, they just cut men's sports.

And it would have been a greater touch of irony if Michigan State had a men's gymnastics team, but ...

I don’t think they can cut women’s sports even if they cut equivalent men’s sports. This came up at Cal a few years ago — football schools are never in numerical compliance, so they have to follow the criteria of accommodating all demonstrated interest. Cut a women’s sport and you automatically have two dozen women on campus whose interests aren’t being accommodated.

I'm guessing that it depends on the numbers. When UAB's President chopped football, he also closed down rifle and bowling, both women's sports.

It's slightly more complex, but yeah, mostly this.

I think you can cut one women's sport and replace it with one better suited for the student pop. I can think of a few sports where coaches have to fill out the roster with foreign athletes because they can't twist a local kid's arm to the time commitment and the beating they're liable to take in matches.

Liability insurance will cover little, if any, because the insurer is going to sue the shit out of MSU for ignoring all the red flags. I believe that’s what happened at Penn State.

The assfuck loving Republicans will repeal Title IX soon enough. If G-d wanted a woman to play sports he’d have made her a male.

And a big one. If insurance doesn't cover it, there's no other way to go. Savvy donors will realize what's up if they are suddenly asked for large, current-use, unrestricted gifts to greater degrees than before.
