Call me evil, but I'd love to hear that he's allergic to your perfume/cologne.

The coughing. There are still stages to go, I mean, we aren't getting the sound of death yet, no crying or whimpering. But a constant stream of coughing and hacking, to the point where it makes talking with him possible and sitting near him difficult.

It's only a matter of time. I know how this ends.

Has the moron still not gone to the doctor?

    Na, he went last time.

He was asked to leave work until he was better, and when he finally came back, a week later, he was fine. But it's getting pretty bad again.

I recall this ordeal. Did you ever learn what exactly this ailment was? I sort of assumed it was bronchitis, perhaps resulting from smoking.

I think it was bronchitis, x1000 due to his lack of treatment. It cleared up in a week last time, so he couldn't have actually been too sick.

He probably has chronic bronchitis. Tell him to consider getting an inhaler.
