I have seen dozens and dozens of rock shows, but there are few things greater for me musically than a big band at full blast.

Could list a ton of Beach Boys songs here, but here's a (relatively) recent song that I always heard as a 2010s version. Especially the chorus:

I played lead tenor sax in my high school's big band. When we were really kicking it, it was the most amazing feeling. I'll never forget the first time we played "In The Mood". I spent four years trying to play Tex Beneke's tenor solo.

There are several Better Than Ezra songs with the pitch perfect everything. This one gets me the most.

Thanks. I'm an old, so when y'all bring stuff like this, odds are good that I haven't heard it. Heard of the group but don't know enough to say so much as "Yeah, that sounds like them." I like tapping into the good stuff that's out of my usual circle. I'm not utterly ignorant of everything, but there are a number of not cracks but chasms in my exposure. OTOH, I can bring some good old stuff that I know of and maybe some of y'all dont, or it sparks you to bring something related/similar.

Fixing to throw down three no-shit old classics, although they are far from obscure.

George Jones had a hit with this back in the early 80's, Nashville country style. Chris transformed it into a country blues, and migawd he sings the hell out of this. Guys who look like this aren't supposed to sound like that. That's his wife singing harmony.

    With Willie's band backing them.

I think of this as roller rink rock, and it's a fine example of it.
