Petrino - not riding solo (and fired at Louisville)

The first two are kind of the same, and there's no way she's being fired. They'll settle up; there's no premium in keeping the saga going, which would happen if she's fired. She would have protection as a state employee, so the appeals process keeps the sad saga rolling. And I doubt she could be fired for cause anyway. She was not the one with the power.

If Petrino had hired her to be his offensive coordinator, the AD, and the new coach, would have no obligation to keep her around, since she'd obviously be unqualified for the job.

Why is this position any different?

Yeah, cause there's utterly no differences in the situations. Pinata the ho!

Coaches don't usually get caught schtupping their offensive coordinators.

Sure, the jobs are different, but I'm not sure her job would come with civil service protection.

Unless she took a civil service exam, and got on a hiring list, it likely doesn't.

And, I doubt she had a contract -- I don't know, maybe she did.

I was once a City employee, but was a political appointee, who served at the pleasure of the Mayor. I had no civil service protection, and was not a union member.

In this case, I would think her job would be treated just the same as the offensive coordinator.

About a million things are different from the coordinator situation you refer to. Arkansas would be stupid to fire her, even if they could, and I'm not sure they really can. Shame the jezebel!

Tell this to the person who finished second in the race for her job.

She didn't make Petrino not hire that person.

OK, let's get shit real here. Are we actually blaming Dorrell more than Petrino here? She sure seems to be catching a lot more shit, on top of being objectified.

Thank you for posting this. Great article. Tell the two other applicants mentioned in that story that Jessica Dorrell was the victim here.
