Who didn't Google the name of the man she met in a casino after they started dating and believed he was a history professor instead of a football coach.

After the Wisconsin loss to Arizona State, she tweeted #Karma.

I'll bet she was quiet as her husband lost nine games in a row.

It would take more than winning the ACC for a job better than Louisville to call Petrino. Frankly, I'm not sure a national championship would do it. The level of success Petrino would have to have at UL for a top tier job to come calling would be so great that it would still be a worthwhile hire for Jurich. (see Pitino, Rick for example).

It depends on the school. I think most major state universities would have a very hard time getting a Petrino hire approved. He's not going to wind up at a Florida or a Texas. A school like Miami or Auburn? Possibly, but doubtful.

I expect him to be successful at Louisville and to stay there.

The guy isn't changing his spots. The first better offer he has, he's out the door -- now as others have mentioned, if/when he gets that offer is open for debate.

List of jobs A. Better than Louisville that would B. Hire Petrino. Because I agree with you that Florida and Texas aren't calling him, and Miami isn't close to a better job. I maintain the list is zero, I guess in theory there could be a second-tier school in the SEC that might fit in here (Tennessee, maybe Auburn).

Yeah, I don't think he's going anywhere. I know his past, but he's not going to be sought after the way he was before the Arkansas scandal. If that scandal doesn't happen, I don't think it's a stretch at all to think he might be at Auburn, Texas or Tennessee right now.

Petrino had signed a contract with a ridiculous buyout at Arkansas. The only way he was going to leave that job was by doing something so completely crazy that they could fire him for cause. IIRC, the buyouts in both directions were the highest in college football history. Petrino actually put all of the job hopping and money chasing behind him at Arkansas. The contract was about as iron clad as I have ever seen for a coach. Unfortunately, he couldn't put chasing tail behind him. Arkansas fired him for cause and Petrino didn't fight it.

I don't rate Arkansas football, but they are pretty strong still recruiting in Texas and Oklahoma. They get quality leftovers like Chrys Chukwuma from SEC states too.
