She hasn't commented publicly that I've seen, and the AD said as of last night he hadn't spoken with her yet. The anchor on the TV station that was airing the press conference said they contacted her, but she refused comment.

Here's the full text of Petrino's statement:

Since the fiance is in "the entire state of Arkansas," I guess Petrino did technically apologize to him.

I imagine the conversation with her intended was a smidge awkward.

"But, honey, think of the TICKETS!"

Also, if this sleaze is indeed diddling, or has been diddling, the fiance of another member of the athletic staff, you can't keep him around. You just can't. Under no circumstances. That he's diddling a member of his staff (heh heh) is bad enough.

How can you look your people in the eye if you let him stay? "I don't care if he's doing your spouse or your future spouse. He's WINNING."

Nope. Has to go. Right damn now. What an incredible, worthless, no count piece of absolute shit.

How long before photos like this start to surface?

    Enjoying all this immensely.

Would really like to see him lose his job and be relegated to coaching some 1-AA outpost at best. But, I just don't see that happening. The 21-5 the past two years on the field will end up trumping boning the 25 year old off the field. The admin leave sets it up for that--let time go by and allow this to blow over.
Hope I'm wrong, but don't think I will be.

Think my best hope is that Mrs. Petrino leaves a laminated note on the kitchen table announcing she's leaving and informing the snake in the grass that any further inquiries should be submitted through her legal representation.

As for the spurned fiance, at least he found out about his Jezebel Dorrell now before getting married as opposed to perhaps years and even kids down the road.

If she's already boning someone else, I doubt it would have made it years down the road. But otherwise, yeah, I agree.

    Slime+slut = slimeslut

She may want to change her name, too. Think that resume may stand out?

    "Hey, aren't you the one ***** "

How delicious would it be if Tuberville replaced Petrino?

Imagine if this had happened after a bad season? :D

Spurrier is sitting in Columbia saying, "Well, should have paid her off like I did back at Duke."

Deadspin is referring to this as the "Ozark Chappaquiddick," which makes me giggle.
