"Campers will learn the importance of attitude, discipline, pride and hard work - all qualities that are part of the Arkansas Razorback Football tradition!"

Oh, they'll learn about discipline alright.

I think he'll be on administrative leave for a month or two until things blow over, and then he'll be reinstated before fall practice starts.

Arkansas has a Heisman favorite and could be a preseason top 10 pick. I'm guessing the AD will be too scared to mess with that.

I'm not buying. I say he survives.

Probably true. Disappointing but probably true.

I'd put it at 50-50 he survives this.

Anywhere in the civilized world, he'd be gone by now. But in Arkansas and SEC football land, as a successful coach with good prospects for next season (and the whore he was diddling being so hot), he may get a statue built on campus.

The variables are how the fanbase is reacting to this. I haven't (and won't) check the Arkansas message boards for a pulse, but Petrino doesn't give off the vibe of being the most likeable person in the world, even when he's winning. Add in the whore's spurned fiance being a fellow athletic department staffer, who likely knows about plenty of dirt about Petrino and the football program, and I could easily see him being gone.

The girl was given a job, and is engaged to another coach?

They've got to fire him. Have to.

You can't give a job to the hot blonde your fucking, and there should be some honor among thieves. You can't be screwing your co-worker's fiance.

And, if they don't fire him, it will be because the timing isn't right, they won't be able to find another top coach at this time of year, it'll hurt the program, etc.

The same bs we heard about why Penn State couldn't blow up their program, and just had to retain a couple of members of JoePa's staff.

And, we'll have public confirmation of another school that puts it football program above everything else.

Given the unbelievably unsurprising fanboi response to this, I'm more embarrassed than usual with my affiliation to the state. :)

I can't stop thinking about that part of the movie Big Daddy, where Adam Sandler finds out his girlfriend is banging some old guy, and he goes on the diatribe about "his wrinkly skin and ... old balls"

I'd bet that whore's fiance is thinking along those lines right now.

Spoke to an Arkansas grad in my office and he went on about how bad this looks and how Petrino is an idiot and a jerk.

Then I asked him, "But do you want him to be your coach in 2012?"

    His response, "Sigh ... yes."

    Winning forgives all.

I would like to think they're going to fire him. I just don't see it happening. If it doesn't happen in the next 48-72 hours, I think he'll survive unless there is another huge revelation.

He can hide behind the "I was trying to protect my wife" or some other bullshit and they might give him the benefit of the doubt.

Not sure a department head caught doing the same would survive the disciplinary committee hearing.

Only President's and football coaches get special treatment.
