Petrino has coached his last game at Arkansas.

If Petrino was just having an affair and it became public he could survive this.

If Petrino was just having an affair with a woman half his age and it became public he could survive this.

If Petrino was just having an affair with a subordinate half his age, and it didn't become public but he was caught, he cold survive this.

But having an affair with a subordinate half his age that becomes public after he LIES TO HIS BOSS AND PUTS HIS SCHOOL IN THE POSITION OF RELEASING A FALSE STATEMENT BASED ON THAT LIE is not survivable.

If Ohio State can fire a guy who won a national championship after he was caught lying, Arkansas can sure as hell fire Bobby Petrino.

The only question that remains is whether they fire him for cause and don't pay him a dime or they cut him a check to avoid the inevitable lawsuit.

Maybe the fiance ran Petrino off the road.

Not unlike the Tiger Woods vehicular fiasco, there is some stuff here that doesn't add up.

Somewhere Larry Eustachy is wondering, "really? I got fired for Natty Light and some hugs?"

According to the police report her car was several miles back down the road from the accident. That's where she was dropped off by the people that she flagged down.

And I wonder how long it will be before we hear from those folks?

Also, regarding Petrino's statement last night, assuming the accident effectively ended whatever relationship there might have been, technically he is correct in calling it a "past indiscretion."

911 call to be released today. The state police captain, who doubles as Petrino's sideline security guy, is also being investigated. He took Petrino to the hospital and speaking of people who will get fired, he'll get shitcanned over this.

Another trooper did the accident report. And it appears Petrino was trying to cover up the accident by using a state police connection.

It will be interesting to see who made the call. Records show it was Petrino's phone.

So it's there a theory developing that she was a spurned mistress chasing him in another vehicle? Or am I reading too much into some of the comments here.

The police report indicates she was a passenger on the bike so unless she lied to the cops she wasn't chasing him.

Also, according to the report, they were westbound on Highway 16 between Elkins (where she lives) and Fayetteville, which means they were driving away from Elkins towards Fayetteville. After the accident she was dropped off at her car, which was at an intersection in Fayetteville.
