It is pretty funny that they "tried" to keep him. Was it for show? Did they give him terms they knew he wouldn't/couldn't accept.

Didn't watch the press conference, but could she have been blackmailing him? Gets a $20K payment and he gets her a cush job in the athletic department.

I'd love it, LOVE it if Petrino was the victim in all of this, and he still got the boot because he's an idiot who couldn't keep it zipped up.

 

I have a felling there will be a few more gems to come out in this story.

 

Ok, so Petrino is a stupid moron and has been for a while now.

But he didn't deserve to get fired over a stupid motorcycle wreck or whomever happened to be riding with him at the time. This ain't Jim Tressel or Jerry Sandusky (not claiming that Sandusky is guilty of anything.... time will tell that).

 

ALL the other shit, though? He more than earned that firing.
