A Petrino firing would make three-quarters of the state wet itself. I'm guessing somewhere between 99.5 and 99.7 percent of Hog fans think the program is on the verge of a national title after the last couple seasons.

Spit take... (cause I've known him for years too)

Seems kind of odd that a football coach would give a quote for a release announcing such a minor position (something that sounds like it was created) - odd enough that there was a release at all.
What is someone with an MBA doing working as a recruiting coordinator? Just seems like she could be of more use elsewhere in the athletic department.

Well, Houston Nutt was run out of Fayetteville when it came out he was sending 1,500 texts a month to a local news anchor (not his wife), including some AT HALFTIME OF A BOWL GAME...

As long as Bobby keeps the hogs in the top 10 he can do whatever the hell he wants.

Like any big time football coach Petrino was probably lecturing his players about who they hung out with.

We'll find out soon enough, but I'm not sure an AD holding a hastily-called presser at 9:45 p.m. on a Thursday night is a good thing when it comes to Petrino's future there ...

At least this was a 5-star recruit for him, unlike former Mets GM/ESPN commentator Steve Phillips. #UglyTree

I want to amend the percentages in my previous post to between 99.9 and 100 percent.
