He would have stopped griping if Rory had hit his tee shot into the creek.

From what I understand, yes. But you don't want to be the asshole who may have sent the fans home with no winner.

Why wouldn't you want the leader to play through? Then you k ow what you're facing. Rory goes in the drink, strategy changes. All the advantage there seems to go to the chasers.

Has Nantz spelled out yet who "doesn't give Rory his due"? If Rory wins The Masters Nantz will say how it impressive it was considering no one believed in him.

It would have been interesting if Phil or Fowler didn't want to play their second at 18 because it WD too dark. Could Rory have finished?

Clutch putts by Rory ... and that finish was something else.

Everybody was clearly rushing to hit, it was virtually dark.

It was fun to watch, but PGA officials are lucky those conditions didn't cause a major miscue that decided the championship.

Good question, as protocol had already been breached.

Imagine if Rory's drive had gone in the water as he was sort of hurrying up to hit. Would have been one of the craziest finishes ever. We'd be talking about what an eff up it was for him and the PGA for years. And it was maybe a yard from happening.

  9. Yeah ... That could have been a debacle.

Rory has a penchant for those types of weird things. Coming late to the Ryder Cup start two years ago, etc. Of course in the end he always pulls it out (it *is* a new era; "pulls it out" can now again be used with the top golfer without inducing snickering).

Shit would have fallen from the heavens if Weisberger would have said it was too dark.

Pretty sure by that point all Wiesberger wanted to do was get done and get the hell out of there.
