Sold out because it did what it was supposed to do? That's just screwed-up illogic... not surprising, but screwed up.

It sold out and this is first-hand knowledge.

Hold on here. The Philly union "sold out" because it had no leverage. You can blame the other eight unions that capitulated and left the Guild on a goddamn island for a month. It was either sell out or everyone loses their jobs.

If all the unions had stuck together and told PMH where to go, a lot of this crap never would've gone down.

They had no other option but to "sell out."

Wicked, the guild could've negotiated better. They could've negotiated earler. The guild fucked over a lot of good people.

Maybe so, but so much for union solidarity and looking out for your brother. What really killed things was the other unions jumping ship with their me-first positions.

Which statement is true? That they "sold out," or that they "could've negotiated better?"

The other unions also negotiated, in my opinion, better deals.

Of course they did! PMH was trying to bust the Guild. And it came damn near close.

They could have negotiated better is bullshit.
It's spraying the topic with birdshot. How could they have negotiated better? What could they have done differently?
Unless you speak in specifics, this is typical scatter-shot crapola; speak in vague generalities and duck when confronted for specifics.
The only consistency on "every damn post" is you, boots.

    You are correct.

The Guild tried the stare-down tactic. They weren't gonna budge.

They also operated under the assumption that their union brethren were gonna stick by them. Of course, management did an end-around and the other unions capitulated -- without thinking of their so-called brothers and sisters first.

The Guild got screwed with a deal that wasn't as good as the other bargaining units.
