Phone numbers you remember

Goddamnit Batman.

 

My cell, my wife's cell (only one digit difference), our last landline, my parents phone, my childhood best friend's parents house (haven't used that number in 30 years but I remember it).

That's probably it. I have no idea what any of the numbers of my three kids with phones are.

I bet I could dig a few more out of the back of my brain, especially from childhood, if I really tried.

 

Mom’s landline - because she STILL has it.
My wife’s cell.
My cell.
My best friend’s number from high school, thanks to the pattern.
Probably need to memorize my 14yo’s number.

 

My maternal grandparents had the same phone number for my whole life, so it’s easy.

All three of the phone numbers we had when I grew up.

My current mobile number (for 10 years, and its area code is in another state) along with the immediate previous one.

My college newspaper’s main desk number (the three initials for the university, and “6397” because it turns into “NEWS”).

Both of my old home phone numbers growing up. We moved after my sophomore year of college, changed numbers, and it was my folk's # for the next 27 years.

My North Nowhere # (223-0455) and my old newspaper number (223-2500).

And of course my cell, my son's cell and my wife's cell.

Our first home phone # as a kid - I'm so old we still had to go through an operator (number was 196-A). Can't remember our home number after we got 7-digit dialing, though.

The school number where my dad was the principal. Only reason I remember it is the last 4 digits are the same year I graduated.

The long-time number of the newspaper where I worked. I wonder who has it now since there has been one move and now no office at all?

 

The phone number from my original hometown, back when they used letters for the first two numbers: JO2-6622

My mom's landline (same as when I grew up)
My office's main number

That's it. That's the list.

 

I dialed our old landline a couple of years ago to see if anyone was assigned the number but no one answered. I grew up in a small town.
I joked with my wife once that I could probably guess my two brothers bank card access numbers as they were likely the same as mine.

 

I can remember about 10, including the local time and temperature service that probably hasn't been a thing for 20 years.
