I'm with spnited all the way.

    But.

My son brought home some leftovers from Bottoms Up, a very good pizza joint here in Richmond (and maybe elsewhere). I didn't realize it had pineapple on it. Ate some. REALLY good.

I like anchovies and feta cheese. Or ham and chicken. Or, done right, just cheese.

Not a huge pepperoni fan, not a fan of sausage at all.

A place I used to frequent in Blacksburg made a "California" pizza - feta, artichoke hearts and a bit of garlic. Really good.

Ate at a place called Matchbox Pizza in D.C. recently, near the Verizon Center. Pepperoni and wild mushrooms. A-freaking-mazingly good. Even though I'm not a huge pepperoni fan.

    But, but, but....that's not pizza!!!!

Also, I've heard nothing but good things about Matchbox. Gotta get up there.

There's a place within a mile of where I live that has these toppings:
Italian Sausage, Pork Sausage, Pepperoni, Beef, Bacon, Chicken, Ham, Banana Peppers, Black Olives, Green Olives, Green Peppers, Jalapeños, Mushrooms, Pineapple, Red Onion

It's called Pizza Hut. It's even got pizza in the name, so there.

Pizza has Italian roots but is largely an American item. No need for the pizza police

    A great Neapolitan pizza - the Margherita - doesn't need toppings. Lombardi's. Di Fara. Totonno's. Grimaldi's.

That said, this may be the best (new) pizza in America:

If it was real Hawaiian pizza, it would have Spam on it.

Don Muraco does not agree with this thread.

I'm cool with pineapple, but you have to have sauce and cheese to qualify as a pizza.

I'm not a fan of bready pizzas like what's served at Bottoms Up, but I'd punch the guy next to me for some Mozzarella Tracks right now.

One of my favorite restaurants in Orlando is a Hawaiian fusion place owned by famed chef Roy Yamaguchi. Although there are some folks who fold their arms like a 5-year-old and refuse to try something new, most people actually like a little variety in their lives. That is why Yamaguchi is world-renowned.

Also, if you think pizza is Italian, I have news for you. It's much more popular in the United States than in Italy. I don't care about its roots. It's as American these days as apple pie.

Lastly, why the fuck are there so many people who want to argue on this site about fucking word meanings? Are you that bored at work? Download some midget porn or something. Life's short, my friends.

Thinly sliced prosciutto. Roasted peppers. Extra virgin olive oil.

I'm usually game for any type of Mediterranean pizza. Basil, tomatoes, feta, etc. But that doesn't mean I won't get down on a supreme or meat lover's.

We're making a taco pizza tomorrow night.

Want to come over for dinner, Spnited?
