I can't tell the difference, but I've heard the same. I do know they tried to put some "franchises" out in Midlothian and Short Pump. The one in Midlothian failed within a year, and I'm not sure if the one in Short Pump is still open. I think the biggest reason the one in Midlo failed, was that they put a satellite police station right next to it.

There was a Bottoms Up in Glen Allen near the VPA offices, but it was closed last time I was there.

That's the one I was thinking of. Suburban Bottoms Up wasn't the same.

    Short Pump. Now there's a name ...

Must be fun to tell the crowd that you're from ... Short Pump.

Interesting. 50 states, but they didn't pick one for IOWA. They picked one for DC, and left out IA. Geography FAIL.

Plus, whoever put the red stars on the map is utterly clueless as to where the cities are. They put Oakland in southern California, among about 35 other goofs. Geography FAIL again.

So, Food Network - stick to what you know - food. Oh wait, this is a pretty crummy list of pizzas. FOOD FAIL.

I want ten minutes of my life back. Bastards.

Cool to see some of you discussing Crozet and Nelson and Albemarle. Some of you fine folks are near my stomping ground.

Georgio's in North Myrtle Beach would give any place a run for the money.

Lots of great town names in Virginia ... Short Pump, Skinquarter, Tightsqueeze ...

To be fair, none of those are towns in the corporate sense, though Short Pump may contain the most affluent zip code in the state.

A favorite of mine is Jennings Ordinary. If I ever learn how to play the banjo or fiddle, that's going to be my band's name.

Short Pump is new money. The areas outside of Charlottesville, Faquier and DC have old money.

Faquier. My grandfather used to own a hunting/fishing/drinking cabin in Hume. Another great Virginia...ummmmmm...town name.

Not a town name, but I was driving on a back road from Madison into Rappahannock County a few weeks ago and crossed a creek called Mullato Run.
