And it's minus-freakin'-5 here now in late February. But .... TONS of snow in SW Colorado, which really needs it. Saw an NWS spotter down there with 5 inches of snow in an hour.

Yeah, the snowpack and melt water has to be welcome. Fine by me, I don't have to live with it.

And I mostly don't, but I have lots of family down there. Wolf Creek absolutely getting obliterated. Silverton shut off (or as they say, the rest of the world cut off from them) and power out through the entire town. Snowpack is really, really good so far. Now we need another 10 years of it to refill Powell and Mead.

Yeah, February is winter, I heard.
It was in all the papers, too. Even with early deadlines.

Two years ago last week, it was minus-2 in Dallas. I got through it OK but the live oak in my front yard did not.

79 degrees here today. Taking a half day and playing golf this afternoon. Saturday? 44 and rainy. Other than that wicked cold spell in December, we've hardly had anything resembling winter this year.

An inch and a half of snow and sleet here -- so far. Close to impossible to shovel due to its density, but not deep enough for the plow service contract to kick in. Meanwhile, freezing rain and drizzle has started. Would not care at all if I didn't have to drive into downtown Boston for an early afternoon eye doctor's appointment. If I called up to reschedule, my very nice and very skilled specialist might have something open in 2027.

We we've had record highs the last two days pushing 80. We've had zero snow this year where we should have had multiple snowfalls in the 6-8 inch range.

We’re getting threats of snow in my valley. It hasn’t snowed in my valley in the last 35 years. 34 degrees at 7 this morning.

Two inches of snow in Microville and it's still snowing. From news reports, Portland is an absolute mess. Haven't watched any TV yet, PDX channels treat an inch of snow as the apocalypse.

In St. Louis, any time 10 snowflakes land in a 100-yard stretch, cars start sliding off the road and banging into each other.
