    That guy paid for Twitter?

The record is 186 inches for a storm that lasted 12 days in 1982.

I don't know, I took his "that I've ever seen" comment as meaning it's the craziest forecast ... he has seen as someone who has paid attention to such things? I mean 1982 has 186 in 12 days, but I never saw that forecast either because I wasn't alive...

Best thing to do is to avoid 15 minute trips.

I don't know if it was that much, and it might have been a different area, but didn't they just have a massive California snowstorm last year that wreaked all sorts of havoc in the mountains?

I’m having trouble finding exact numbers from last year in increments other than months. So yes, there were some heavy snow days last year but I don’t immediately see something comparable. The best I can find is we’re about to get half of the snow fall for March last year in about 3 days.

And the majority of it will flow into the ocean. My brother used to have a second place in Mammoth. My other brother is going up there for spring break in three weeks.

To add, one source I found had the largest snow fall be 36 inches in a single day last year. I’m sure that is not the highest because it only does up to 8,500 feet and not in the topically highest snow areas
