As an amateur psychologist, I would say Todd Marinovich is a classic case of passive-aggressive rebellion against an overbearing father, not a waste of talent. I eagerly await Todd 2.0's progression (Mikhail, Marv's next son/project).

Marvin "Bad News" Barnes. Incredible talent who completed the trifecta of drug abuse, prison time, and homelessness.

I can't remember, but who was the basketball (I think) player who went into the rampage and threw all the furniture off the balcony?

Great Marvin Barnes story from Terry Pluto's "Loose Balls," his history of the ABA. According to Bob Costas (then an announcer for Barnes' team, the Spirits of St. Louis), Barnes' knowledge of time zones wasn't exactly developed. He refused to get on a plane that left St. Louis at 8 a.m. and arrived in Memphis at 7:59 a.m. because "I ain't goin' on no time machine."

Who made the most out of his/her talent?
    David Eckstein?
    Zeke Mowatt?
    Al Conroy?
    Mike Rossman?

To what talent are you referring? Shoving his schlong in Lisa Olson's face, perhaps?

No, I was just trying to think of athletes who had careers despite having little to no talent.

    Mea culpa.
Eckstein is high up on that list.

Wasn't Albert King supposed to be the Second Coming as a high school player in New York City?

Played a few seasons in the pros after college, nothing special.
