Not to mention New York City Serenade

And, from "Asbury Park," For You

"Relay" is another awesome Who song that never gets enough airplay. The version from the BBC Sessions is great.

At least he likes ABBA. The rest, well...

One popped into my head. Winter Song by Screaming Trees.

My favorite by the Dummies ... it was the B-side to "Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmmm," and they thought it was going to be a hit ... was "Afternoons and Coffeespoons." Great tune, great weird lyrics.

What is it that makes me just a little bit queasy?
There's a breeze that makes my breathing not so easy
I've had my lungs checked out with X rays
    I've smelled the hospital hallways

Someday I'll have a disappearing hairline
Someday I'll wear pyjamas in the daytime

I have that CD single, and it has "Superman's Song" and "How Does A Duck Know?"

The latter also boasts some fantastic lyrics.

"How does a duck know what direction south is?
And how to tell his wife from all the other ducks?
You can cut a chicken's head off
and it will keep on running and twitching"

Love the "Psycho Killer" and "Carouselambra" references. They fit.

    Let me add:

Rush: "Countdown," "Witch Hunt" and "Rhythm Method"
    Clash: "Rudie Can't Fail"
Cars: "Bye Bye Love" (Yeah, it gets airplay, but it also gets lost in the shuffle of their countless other hits)
Guns-n-Roses: "Civil War," "Don't Cry" (See above for Civil War; it gets play, but nothing like "Welcome to the Jungle" or "Paradise City.")
    Queen: "Seven Seas of Rhye."

I was putting some stuff from Zep's box on my iPod when I heard "Carouselambra" for the first time in years. Sounds a bit dated now but one of the more interesting things in the Zep catalogue. Same with "South Bound Suarez".

"Bye Bye Love" is a great Cars call. I'd add "Candy-O" here too.

  8. J Geils Band - Detroit Breakdown or House Party (live version).

All you ever hear by J Geils these days is the stuff from Freeze Frame which was their most commercially successful album but by far their worst artistically

I should have checked back in on this thread a few days ago...
Wild & Innocent is my favorite Bruce album, so I agree with the nominations of Kitty's Back, Incident and NYC Serenade.

But the great obscure song off Greetings from Asbury Park is "Lost in the Flood"
