Biggie Smalls and Tupac wasn't "family entertainment" to many and yet they were celebrities in their own realm.

I actually sat through Caligula for the first time the other night, via insta-Netflix.

Apparently, there's a shit-ton of versions out there, and Netflix must've gotten the one that was edited down by Blockbuster. Didn't show anything at all, which sucked, because I wanted to see Helen Mirren get nailed by something/s.

 

I watched it once - it was bizarre. Apparently Guccione felt the movie needed some porn so he shot some scenes himself and cut them into the movie (I found it odd that suddenly you would see two characters that weren't part of the story pleasuring each other). It was boring and weird as hell.

 

It's not about "family entertainment," it's about being well known. Guccione did not have the recognition that someone from television, movies or music would. Hefner would qualify as a celebrity; not Guccione.

 

I don't dispute heaven's need for smut, but on the smut scale Penthouse was pretty classy.

 

A true tripleheader would be Guccione, Hefner and Jenna Jameson

 

That would be the Night the Boners died.
