Well, no offense, but KC knows Posnanski, and we know Posnanski.

    And that's it.

I have no doubt that the Chicago readers enjoyed it.

Stop getting the panties in a bunch about how people don't want to read this sort of stuff.

I will say this for Pos ... at least he's been a regular visitor to the Royals' clubhouse, unlike certain other, ahem ... Windy ... columnists.

Doesn't anybody here think Ozzie made some solid arguments in his defense?

  5. He did -- and he didn't use "fag," so it shows he's learning. Neither Ozzie nor Poz really did anything objectionable, which is why I don't get the point of this piece.

This is the second fanboyish column Cowley's written slagging other cities -- he gave Cleveland a condescending wag of the finger for booing Thome earlier this year, along with some shots at the city itself. It seemed out of place considering the events that have happened in Chicago regarding fan behavior. I normally enjoy Cowley's beat work, but it seems like nothing good comes out as soon as you see him use the word "I" in a story.

Think Poz might take Ozzie up on his offer to call him? IIt's free column material, if nothing else.

Worth noting that Gates BBQ sauce is incredible ...

Joe Cowley has a column? WTF?

When do I get a Jerry Don Gleaton sidebar? Or Tim Hulett takeout?

Ron Kittle is an 'effin' stud too.

I think Rick Reichardt and Bill Melton have a point-counterpoint feature.

Why can't these damn columnists write about sports?

I really don't give a shit if people in Kansas City hang out with Dennis Leary and eat rat hamburgers underneath the streets.

Write about sports. It's your fucking job; try doing it right.

And another Chicago writer, Teddy Greenstein of the Trib, comes to Posnanski's defense.
