"any of that" is one good reason why we're here . . . not to take it as gospel, but you file it away, and if/when there are "developments", you have a point of reference . . .

  3. Thank you, Ben. The purpose of SportsJournalists.com has somehow eluded me in my breif time here.

There were e-mails and other stuff flying around during the gubernatorial (sp?) election last year about Crist. Never got above the blogs, e-mails, nudgenudge winkwink stage.

As a moderate, though, he wouldn't be hypocritical if anything substative came out.

My guess is that McCain will pick Lindsay Graham as his running mate. He trusts Graham, who's been loyal to him since his 2000 race. Plus Graham is a solid conservative who will help him shore up his base.

And if elected, Graham comes from a state which would be extremely likely to elect another Republican senator

Tickets featuring vice-presidents who never were properly vetted and who've harbored skeletons of whatever stripe have not fared well . . .

    See: Eagleton, T.
    Ferraro, G.

  11. Striped skeletons?

    Ya know what I mean.

I was deliberately staying away from closet references.

    We tried.
