Jim DeMint and (gasp) Steve Forbes . . .

    Trying not to laugh . . .

The ship sailed two years ago, boys . . . and it ain't comin' back anytime, soon.

    Too bad -- for you.

He's not a good VP choice, but Forbes would make a great Sec of Treasury.

Here's the thing...WSJ is thinking like a rich white guy, as you would expect. Which group has more voters, rich white guys (WSJ readers) or the type of people who would like Mike Huckabee (religiously inclined)?

If Huckabee would be a disaster on McCain's ticket, then Steve Forbes would be a class A Apocalypse.

Understood, sir. I was poking more than a little fun at the source.

Subtle note on the far right side of the page that's picking up steam if you google "Tom Coburn running mate for McCain"...even from an Oklahoma Democratic Party site.

  7. Oh, please. Pleeeeeeeassssse!
I'm BEGGING for this. The junior senator from the dumbass delegation. This guy wanted to EXECUTE doctors who performed abortions, and he talked in his last campaign about how people in a small town were worried about "rampant" lesbianism because girls in the HS went to the ladies room together.

The GOP wouldn't do me this much of a favor.

What's Tom Ridge been up to lately?

This, of course, is a rhetorical question.

    How's this ....David Petraeus?

I'm just surprised their isn't a GOPer who has religious-cred, biz cred and a zero tolerance for illegal immigration and is a big-time backer for the war. And is preferably under 60.

Yeah. Having a vice president who challenges the audacity of Congressmen who think they are kings in their positions rather than citizen legislators is certainly something we don't need. Someone who was part of the Gingrich Revolution which actually showed that Congress could live up to campaign promises. It would substantially affect the hog trough that is Washington.

    Carry on.

  12. Well, he'd do something about the "rampant lesbianism," that's for sure.
Nice to see he has one fan.
And Petraeus has his eyes on the real prize in '12 or '16.
Besides, victory is not yet achieved.
