Imagine you realize you won a billion dollar lottery. Then find out you have to share it with one, then two, then three people and the billion becomes maybe $100 mil and change...I'd be surprised if there aren't multiple winners with these numbers.

    08, 27, 34, 04 and 19, and the Powerball was 10.

Yogi, Juan Marichal, Rollie Fingers, Gehrig, Gwynn and Rizzuto

    Yeah, that would truly suck.

"My parents bought a lottery ticket, and all I got was this lousy $100 million T-shirt."

    Ah, the '70s.

    Thanks for explaining that further.
Should be quite clear to everyone now.

The Oregonian had a bunch of Powerball stories, like most bigger papers I'd guess. One story encouraged readers to refresh at the time of the drawing to see the winning numbers. The same story said you could try the Oregon Lottery site, but don't count on that since it crashed last Saturday. So I refreshed The Oregonian link shortly after the drawing. The site had crashed.

Yeah that's just like the prank from the old documentary "Lucky." A guy's friends watched the previous drawing, bought him a ticket with those numbers (I think it was his birthday) and then played the recorded version at the time the live one was supposed to air.

My wife would have called it a Captain Obvious moment. But considering some of the shit I've seen get into newspapers the last few years ...
