    And I can't believe a legislature would work through Memorial Day to restrict voting - given how much "respect" they have for all the rights soldiers have died to protect.

    It's Texas. Texas and Florida are the closest things we have to banana republics in the US.

    This makes a good point, but it seems to paint the two events as equivalent. The assault on the U.S. Capitol was far worse in every way.

    One year ago today. In a presidency with so many unbelievable lows, this was one of the lowest. Gassing people for an empty photo op.
