From all indications the kid is a major league piece of work in her own right too, but the adults are supposed to act like adults.

Sherrod Brown, who is fairly popular and well thought of, ran against a nobody who barely campaigned and still didn't win overwhelmingly. That's how red Ohio is. Whomever runs in Portman's spot from the right side will get 45 percent of the vote just for being republican. From there, he/she will have to campaign for 6 percent to win. Brown will not be a lock next time, either, as the state becomes more and more red.

 

They didn't find other things and they didn't leave. They lost their only reason to vote democratic, so now they don't any more, and there are more and more of them every month. Ohio is a mostly rural state, teeming with rednecks and uneducated white people who basically are Trumpists en masse.
