What's happened with Obamacare, legalize weed and marriage equality among others should be example no. 1 of the reasons to push through the Dems fear of "being too aggressive" on things. When people HAVE these things and realize the earth didn't open up into a hellpit and life goes on (as opponents argue) it becomes very hard to take those things away. And of course I realize marriage equality was "secured" via the Supreme Court because the Dems were too shy (to their disgrace).

Texas ought not have a right to take anything away from anyone until it fixes its fucking power grid. Why can't this state get its shit together after what happened?

Not sure what's better here. SCOTUS upholding Obamacare, or seeing years of plotting by the anti-ACA crowd to pack SCOTUS with justices they were sure would overturn Obamacare not only go up in smoke, but the numbers on the pro-ACA side grow stronger around Roberts.

How many Trumpists elected to Congress threatening to not certify an election because their boy lost would it take for you to consider "hrmmm this might be a problem"?

    50? 100? 200? 220?

If Trumpists take the house in 2022, and then the Democrat nominee beats Trump again in 2024, would you say it's 100 percent certain that the House will certify the election?

I think Roberts might be one of the most interesting chief justices the court has had in a long time. He's no Earl Warren, but I think he's fought hard against efforts to make the SC just another legislative body or arena for legislators to pass off the problems they were too gutless to address head on.

There aren’t any fiscal hawks left in the GOP to really care about repealing the ACA. It’s entrenched. Even Trump didn’t dare touch its most popular qualities. The program is now a watered down mess, but it ain’t going anywhere any morethan the people who panic about the GOP getting rid of Social Security. They’ll let it dry up before they ever dare get rid of it outright.

Even law dorks care about their legacy and popular opinion. Bow to Trump and he’s Taney.
