Bullshit, it was all fake, the sympathy trolling fake death thriller reality teevee episode I had been predicting for five years.
He was never sick at all except maybe for catching a case of the clap off of Hope Hicks and passing it on to Ivanky.

 

Gotta wonder what would have happened if he had died. Pence takes over. Becomes nominee. Honeymoon period. Biden no longer has the only real argument he had been forced to make: “Vote for me; rid the country of Trump.”
Turnout depressed on both sides. I have no idea what would have happened.

 

The day the insurance adjuster/golfing buddy of my dad's approved the roof replacement on my childhood home due to, ahem, hail damage, my dad was giddy like...

 

I am very impressed by that. Cunning, whosever idea it was. Some might call it 'playing chess'.

 

I had a minor body thing a few years back so I took the car into a local place. The shop was very interested in me getting my "dented" roof replaced because of "hail damage." I had a $500 deductible, and their guy even said they'd waive it if I got the work done there. It was the first time I'd ever been in there, so it's not like they were cutting a regular a break.

 

I think there is a better name for it and it hurts us all.

 

The house we're buying has some minor patching on the roof. We're making the owner schedule a full inspection.

Guess that previous adjuster didn't buy the "entire roof needs to be replaced" spiel. It's on a golf course. Maybe it was golf ball-sized golf ball damage.

I hear you, I had a roof put up late last summer that I saved all my newspaper delivery money for years to do it. Sometimes I just like to see the mouse get the cheese.

And my old man too would have beamed over that one.

Facts. We got a new roof a few years ago for the cost of our deductible for damage from a 10-minute summer hailstorm. I thought it was a scam -- the storm-chasing roofing guys came to us offering to inspect -- but neighbors I trust all went through with it too. It was a solid decision and I'm not even sure our roof was all that damaged -- but just enough to justify coverage I guess.
