    Taliban fighters entered Kabul today, and we have helicopters leaving the U.S. embassy just like Saigon.
    It took them a week to retake the entire country.

    One of the first things the Taliban has done was to secure border crossings and airports to keep people from leaving.
    Soooooo, you don't want to control a country, you want to control people.

    Having no personal experience in nut job zealotry, it's pretty clear. Instead of "we want to control this territory for people who think like we do," it's "we want to control you and force you to think like we do."

    Now I realize none of that is a revelation. It's just a Sunday morning observation.

    Nope. Just a guy who's amazed that people are so tweaked by anyone pointing out that Obama went full-blown nouveau riche star fucker with that party. ... that Maureen Dowd's column has actually led to memes like, "The Karen called the cops!"

    There is kind of a middle ground between "salty" and being so intoxicated that every time he farts you have to act like it smells like tutti frutti.

    Biden is getting his Saigon moment after all. It was never going to end well for whoever was in charge when it happened, but the optics are horrible.

    The tens of thousands of translators who couldn’t make it to Kabul will be slaughtered.
