It's going to be important for the media to rally the rest of this week to Biden's side with "really Trump tho" thinkpieces. I imagine Biden's team is busy working the usual corners as we speak.

Right? How embarrassing for the media that they dare point out that the orange lardass wanted to invite the Taliban to the negotiating table at Camp David on the anniversary of September 11 to hash out the details of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

It’s really Greg Popovich’s fault for being so woke and unlikeable.

We (Trump) negotiated a peace deal with the Taliban and cut the Afghan government entirely out of it, totally whacking them at the knees. And somehow that's Joe Biden's fault?

I've been on vacation and dealing with some other shit so I haven't really kept up with much in recent weeks.

But I do know my oldest granddaughter still calls the current president "Joe Vitamin" and I love every bit of that.

I gotta be honest: I was surprised the media was as tough as it was on Biden the last 48 and Biden's Saturday statement even paved the way for "this is actually Trump's fault" Sunday morning spin. And perhaps it would have been, had the evac remained a disconcerting shitshow. It became a total, unrelenting shitshow, however.

But, as I said, the media will rally.

Trump rightfully deserves his share of blame, of course.

If I was a member of Taiwan's government or lived there, I would be looking at events in Afghanistan and weighing the odds that the U.S. would actually be willing to stand up to China. I don't think they will be comfortable with the odds that they would not be crushed in a way that makes events in Hong Kong look like moderation.
