In all fairness, some would paint Joe Biden in a similar light, especially compare to someone like Elizabeth Warren, who was, IMO, a much stronger candidate.

Even if he's blurred out and voice altered, the simple fact that he did an interview will be enough excuse for the one of the right wing pols to out him publicly.

 

At this point he probably doesn't have anything to lose. He's probably already "out" as it relates to the people who want him.

The party chair resigned. Took $38K serverance:

EDINA, Minn. (WCCO) — Embattled Republican Party Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan resigned from her post Thursday after top party officers approved thousands of dollars in severance pay, a move that marks the beginning of a new chapter for an organization mired in controversy.

The State Executive Board during its meeting voted 8-7 approving a three-month’s severance totaling about $38,000. Carnahan herself was the deciding vote. The board unanimously approved launching an independent investigation into allegations about the party’s workplace culture during Carnahan’s tenure.

St. Thomas GOP chairwoman arrested in trafficking case

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The chairwoman of the University of St. Thomas College Republicans has been arrested in Florida on suspicion of recruiting minors for a sex trafficking ring.

Gisela Castro Medina, 19, was arrested Thursday in Fort Walton Beach, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported Saturday. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office’s website said she was wanted on conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors and was a fugitive from the FBI in Minnesota.

The Minnesota College Republicans said in a news release that she was arrested along with Minnesota Republican activist Anton “Tony” Lazzaro. He has been indicted on multiple federal sex trafficking counts.

Lazzaro had close ties to many high-ranking Minnesota Republicans, including state party Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan, who is married to U.S. Rep. Jim Hagedorn. She and Lazzaro co-hosted the podcast TruthMatters from October 2019 until early January 2020.

 

The entirety of the Saigon Airlift was around 7,000 people.
