Kinda what I did, too. There was an accountant who came off pretty well, but neither he nor anybody else was close to Elder. So it was going to be Newsom or Elder.
Same as you, a NO and a blank. Got an email saying my ballot had been received and counted.

Kurt Schlichter is the kind of guy that sniffs the panties in the pile outside the showers at Dachau

For the life of me, I cannot fathom the devotion to the Orange Cheeto, even after the basic fact that he stirred up a mob in hopes of killing the people who wouldn't kowtow to his every whim. He only has any power nearly a year after a decisive election defeat because the people who should have called him out by now are still silent.

Why Pence or Kemp or Raffensberger haven't spilled the whole story and unveiled the craziness behind the curtain is beyond my ability to reason. It's truly become a cult of sworn allegiance, no matter what stupidity comes out of the cult leader's mouth.

Your political careers are over. Do you want to be remembered forever as part of the plot to overthrow the government of the United States as one of Trump's toadies, or someone who actually grew a pair and uncovered the inner workings? Is your fear of reprisal greater than your personal self-worth? What keeps all these morans gleefully repeating the Big Lie? Are there death squads? Do you get your He Man Womun Hater's Club discount revoked?

Even being assassinated would be less shameful than just being a milquetoast for the GOP.

This is great and all, but there’s a chain of command for a reason. That it might have had to come down to the top military officer ignoring direct orders from his boss doesn’t make me feel warm and fuzzy.

Trump had no business being president so it's ok.

@wicked basically spelled it out, but as morally admirable as Milley's actions are, a lower-ranking officer preemptively undermining a superior officer and encouraging others to do the same does seem like a chain of command issue, even if the fruit at the end of it is rotten. In his defense, Nuremberg stuff obligates one to refuse an illegal order but you can see why someone might consider that to be treason against the Dear Leader.

They had a legitimate chance to steal the gubernatorial office of the most important state in the union and chose…. that guy.
