He even had a couple years to get her off the voting rolls but was happy to say how shocked he was that this could even happen.

The Republicans are blocking a major voting reform push - they could easily say "ok - add some baseline requirements about how ballots are counted etc, and we'll do it" - but they know uncertainty is their friend. The party is not interested in adopting policies that the majority of the people might want to support and help them win elections - which is a really screwy thing considering Trump is described as a "populist." He's a "white populist" I guess. Now they either "win" elections or it was obviously "rigged."

Truman merely won the next presidential election...against a candidate from New York...who lost the previous presidential election.....

I never bought Biden's "ability to work with Congress" when he was running for President. Did he get any Republican votes on significant Obama legislation? Congress has changed too much - an '80s era Senate Biden could have cajoled - it's no longer the '80s.

A President Bernie Sanders likely wouldn't be any more successful at this than President Biden. And the Dems were almost down 48-52 in the Senate.

Not saying Bernie would have been more successful - just the idea that Biden had some magic beans to talk the GOP into backing his plan. He's had a problem just getting all the Dems on board.
