Is Libs of TikTok an honest player in your opinion?

Even if they are just using people’s own words against them, I have a huge problem with it.

I had never heard of her until this story was posted. But given she spreads rumors about school boards installing litter boxes for kids who identify as cats, I'd say she's not an honest player at all.

Whether it’s Libs of TikTok, Project Veritas, Breitbart or anyone else, it’s been my experience that whenever someone on the right tries to use a video of someone’s “own words!” as some sort of gotcha, it’s been taken out of context, distorted or otherwise misrepresented.

The problem I have here is that the targets are ordinary people who have done nothing wrong and they’re losing their jobs and being threatened with violence.

One of these days, someone will get killed.

But I guess that’s just a part of the game these days.

I generally agree with the first sentence.

I think your opinion of Fox News 10 years ago is higher than mine is, though I can't say I watched a ton of it. This was the Tea Party/Glenn Beck bawling/Sarah Palin daily hit era of the network.

Let's say it is the fault of Fox News. Nevertheless...the GOP had to be captive to it. Why was it so captive? That's what I chew on. I go back to the five categories I laid out (and they are my own) and I think, OK, 2 and 4.

And if the whole GOP has been eaten up by this awful thing, well, OK, how does it ever come back from that? How does the party come back to the table? The argument of "well, when it comes to its senses" doesn't really account for the factors that caused it to lose its senses.

"The Libs of TikTok" sounds like the next big show on BRAVO.

    Good question.

I think the fundamental problem was the escalating nature of their conspiracies. How do you de-escalate from a constant stream of, "You thought the last thing was bad; wait until we tell you how bad the NEXT Democrat is!"

For the narrative to work, John Kerry had to be worse than Clinton. Obama had to be worse than John Kerry. Biden has to be worse than Obama. Fox News can't ever go, "OK so this next Democrat President isn't as bad as the last guy, but it's still pretty bad."

So we get a constant stream of escalating rhetoric.

What will come next, once we move on from "the military is woke and terrible, the FBI and the institutions of government are all corrupt liberals, and the teachers are turning your kids gay"?
