No one kicks themselves in the dick quite like the Democratic Party.

It's weird watching the Republican party, in real-time, essentially adopt the platform of the president in "Escape From New York."

How much of his upbringing during apartheid plays into this? Of course, he won’t see the right as bad because he saw worse. Likewise, anything that rocks the status quo is bad in his worldview so ergo the left is extreme.

    That's, uh, print subscribers?

I guess we'll see where the SBC is in 5 years.

What a strange argument to be having, me arguing evangelical Christianity is on the decline only to be told it's not, or doesn't matter.

Written off as "unbelievers" by whom?

Christians themselves are disentangling. You can believe that, or not, whatever.

What's interesting is, logic would dictate that, if a group of people wanted to stay in charge, and they were the kind of people who valued that over any ideology, they'd change their positions however needed. Powerful people care about being in power; they'll say or do anything to stay in power.

Like Congressional Republicans did with Trump.

But that's logic talking. And maybe Democratic congressional leaders are ideologically driven to a political center they embrace at all costs, including their leadership, which they still have, precisely because they haven't changed at all.

When, not if, a MOC brings a weapon on the floor and uses it.

If Joe Biden is a dangerous radical, Richard Nixon was the second coming of Karl Marx.

(Which would explain the whole China thing.)
