SCOTUS has been purely political for 22 years. It’s gotten even moreso since 2016.

Several states already have red flag laws. In Connecticut, law enforcement can get a warrant to remove a firearm for up to a year for an individual deemed to be a danger to themselves or others. The weapon is returned after one year and a study showed six people killed themselves after having the weapons returned.

 

The “norms” whiners are the ones who appear on a podcast called Ruthless, which celebrated the death of a Supreme Court justice.

Right-wingers whine all the time about how they just can't trust American institutions, goshdarnit and they just HAD to vote for Donald Trump because of that.

But the most powerful institutions in America (POTUS, SCOTUS) have for decades now been undermined by antimajoritarianism. But the right-wingers don't whine about that. In fact, they love it. If America agreed with their ideology on a 90-10 basis, victory wouldn't be as sweet. They revel in their minority-but-powerful status. It is much more fun to own the libs in that way. If everyone agrees with them, no ownage.

It's local primary day for me. We have 29 offices to vote for on the ballot. There are only three names on the Democrat side, meaning 26 races will be decided today in the Republican primary.

 

The leak is a 2 and the decision is a 25.
