Given that Tim is running a TV ad inOhio where he just attacks China for 30 seconds straight— saying China at least 20 times in 30 seconds— I’m gonna say no, he has no shot. I love Tim and my wife worked closely with him in a former life as part of the working class center-left coalition in the DNC, but if all he has to offer is being a slightly less pungent form of Republican, the state will choose the unadulterated pure form of jingoism. This is Ohio. Think every stereotype of the Rust Belt, but soak it in Monster energy drink and dumb it down an additional 30 percent.

Sherrod Brown and Tim Ryan are my ideal Democrats and even they will be rejected by the state.
