I'm not sure he is done in Congress. Whoever is orchestrating this drip campaign against him started too late in my opinion. He has to be beat in the primary and polling has been underway for two weeks already. He was still polling well above his closest challenger, Chuck Edwards, last week. He was trending negatively, but still up by 18 points.

These attacks on him for his apparent closeted sexuality aren't going to amount to much if he wins the primary in an R+16 district with an opponent who is likely to be an openly LGBT county commissioner from Asheville.

If he does lose the primary, I assume he finally comes to terms publicly with his sexuality and then becomes Fox News or Newsmax's gay friend.
