The fact that she reached out to the Daily Caller to release this says a lot about her.

As I said upstream, I hope she's stupid/overconfident enough to lie during her testimony. There's not telling what testimony/information the 1/6 has in their pocket.

Liability coverage sounds fine, but . . .

    1. How do you enforce it? With cars, you have annual registration. No insurance, no registration. Don't have an updated tag, you WILL be pulled over at some point.
How does the gun owner who fails to have insurance get caught, unless he's just unlucky and gets stopped at some point?

    b. State X doing something is seriously weakened when people from State Y don't have the same restriction. As we have seen in Chicago.

I hear this so often, it's hard to believe this many missed the day in fifth-grade civics when the difference in how the House and Senate are constructed was discussed.

If you follow Surowiecki's thread, you'll see that neither Madison nor Hamilton cared much for it, either.

So what? It's a 230+ year old decision that is not going to be changed and has some logic considering the concept of federalism.

But what was his position on Second Amendment rights? It had to be a Burr in his bonnet.

It was a political compromise. Hamilton and Madison didn't want it. Neither did Washington, I believe. The thing is, Madison hated it. ... but he's the one who wrote the Federalist paper selling it to people. There's a reason. We wouldn't have gotten the Constitution -- the rest of the stuff that we all love -- without the compromise they made. If people don't like it today, there is a mechanism for changing it. Amend the Constitution. But good luck getting North Dakota and Rhode Island and Vermont and Delaware and Alaska to ratify it.

I vow to thee, the Republican Party
    All earthly things above
    Entire and whole and perfect
    The service of my hate

The hate that asks no questions
The hate that fails the test
    That lays upon the altar
    The youngest and the best

    The hate that never falters
The hate that never pays the price
    The hate that makes undaunted
    The final sacrifice

    And there's another country
    I've heard of long ago
Most dear to them that love him
Most great to them that know

We may (we may not count his armies)
We may (we may not see the King)
Its fortress is a tacky mansion in Palm Beach
    His pride is suffering
And soul by soul and loudly
    His shining grifts increase
And his ways are ways of gentleness
And all his paths are war
