Now I have the urge to watch “Major League” again.

 

Here’s the thing: They DO know more than me. But that’s the point of the economics guy talking to Joe Schmoe. The misconceptions I have actually shape what goes on out there. I’mmthe guy those numbers represent. My behaviors are not just data points. They come from experiences and stupidity and stubbornness and illogical thought.

I’m not here to lecture anyone. I’m here to learn. But if the normal life things I’m pointing out don’t get taken into account by those OCD-brained know-it-alls, we have real political problems their data will never solve.

The very smartest people I know are eager to listen to people with different life experiences so they can learn more themselves. And they make their money quietly.
