I don't think Grassley would. However, I don't understand why 48 of the 50 Senate Democrats would not vote for it. I also think it could be used as a wedge issue to draw in swing voters who are concerned about their medical coverage.

 

Adding five more years worth of citizenry to the Medicare rolls would trigger Joe Manchin into low earth orbit unless they found a deficit neutral way to fund it, and there goes your 50%.

I think that it's a great idea politically, don't get me wrong.

Some of the more crazed MAGAts are advocating taking the FBI agents on a helicopter ride. That's a reference to Pinochet's practice of taking people deemed enemies up in a helicopter and tossing them out.
