Yeah. It would seem that Ted Cruz, Hawley, Graham, though they are scum of the earth, understand political calculus better than 99.9% of all elected officials. They wouldn’t wrap themselves in shit if it didn’t pay off.

 

I’m mostly in this camp, but I’m somewhat hopeful because he has been basically silent since 1/6 thanks to Twitter and Facebook.

 

The GQP is going to pay trump millions of dollars plus travel and expenses for a sultan over the next 18 months. Will he appear in any location where he didn’t achieve +10 in the 2020 vote? He can energize the Qchristian Right in primaries to push subhuman candidates. But he can’t go to a toss-up congressional district and make a difference, can he?

 

The evidence from Doug Jones-Roy Moore to the 2018 midterms to the Georgia runoffs is clear: Trump voters are like Trump. They only give a shit about him. As ex-President, he will have no coattails. Probably reverse coattails if he gets more QAnon folks to win Republican primaries.

 

I'd pay Merrick Garland a million bucks if when he's hectored by Graham at his hearing week after next he tells Lindsay he's currently under investigation for a felony, as Graham is in Georgia.
