Harwood is 65. Before the boomers decided they could stay on TV as long as they wanted to, Cronkite retired at 65. Never understood how Cronkite retired, but the 60 Minutes crew stayed on forever -but yeah. But let me be clear - Harwood is not the problem at CNN. I have to think Acosta is hearing footsteps.

Licht had a good reputation going in - don't know why you take the gig if you have to do the dirty work for the new owners. I still can't figure out that Discovery deal - I can't figure out why they wanted the deal. Everything of value they took on, they seem to be tearing down. CNN, Warner Bros. I really hate to think that the real gem of the deal from Discovery's perspective was TrueTV.
