I can sympathize with that . . . to a degree.

But there are 75,000 IRS employees handling 145 million tax returns. Every year.

There are 20,000 USCIS employees dealing with 45 million immigrants (the great majority of whom only require something once a decade), among other things. So the numbers aren't that terrible.

Spent an hour and a half on chat with USCIS this morning pretending to be my wife. Was told that she was moved from the "urgent" queue on Sept. 16 to another queue because there aren't any appointments available in Orlando. Agent then told me something no other agent ever mentioned: That we could request an expedited application if we met one of five conditions (I chose No. 1, "severe financial hardship," since we're talking about loss of job). So now we are in two lines: the line for an expedited application, and the line for an appointment in Orlando.

I told her we ain't doing this shit again. Grit your teeth and become a damn citizen.

 

Why hasn't Biden gone to Puerto Rico yet? He's not thrown any paper towels to them yet. Why not!?!
