Trump is 100 percent going to run. He thinks he has to, as a force field against prosecution.

The question after last night is how he’ll be treated by the GOP. It’s a lot more uncertain, even if the republicans eke out a House win.

Hopefully the party tears itself apart over trump. They all deserve it.

 

I'm not optimistic about Nevada. A lot of votes are needed to turn it around. But 51 would be nice to mitigate 2024.

 

Katie Porter was in a coin flip last I saw. California Dems need to put her in a statewide post. She’s too damn good to be at the whims of Orange County.

(EDIT: And as soon as I check back, Porter gets a big vote dump to pull ahead.)

Laura Kelly managing to win back-to-back elections in Kansas ought to have a higher profile too.

 

Strong, smart, well-spoken women are the future of the Democratic Party.

Please make room to let them push the 80-year-olds and the Clintons out of the spotlight.

 

The one thing that worries me about this scenario is that if Trump tries for a second term -- either as a Republican or something else -- it's going to increase Biden's chances of running. Because he thinks he is Trump's Krypton now.

 

It's going to have to happen if there is any hope in 2024. Someone needs to be in Biden's ear now suggesting a graceful exit for the good of the party. He pulled off the miracle we needed and we'll be forever grateful, but we need someone who can fight the new battles.

 

And I say what I said above fully realizing this is also true.

 

No. Democrats are a policy party; it'll always skew Senate.
