You: Give me $500,000 for this strangers' operation. Without it, she might die.
Me: No, sorry, I can't do that. I don't have $500,000 and I am sorry, but I don't want to put myself in that kind of debt for a stranger. I'd rather save for my kids' college education with whatever I can afford to put away on my limited income.
You: You want her to die. You support disease and dying, period.

US defense budget is what, $ 700-800 billion this fiscal year? We have the assets to aid Ukraine. It's not a question of can or can't, it's will or won't. So opponents have to say, "we shouldn't because..." and fill in the sentence with more than "other priorities" bullshit. Name those priorities.

We added $1.4 trillion to our accumulated debt last year.

No, we don't have the assets. And to the extent we ran up that debt, someone could still say, "Well, I want it to fund things that benefit my country, not someone else's."

It doesn't mean that person "supports Putin and Russia." That kind of rhetoric / attempted demonization is logical fallacy 101 stuff.

    Merica: Freedom! Democracy! Freedom!
    World: You said freedom twice...

Ukraine: Can I get some of that freedom? I have this neighbor and he ...
Merica: Sorry, um, that's really expensive
Ukraine: But you just said ...
    Merica: Really. Expensive.
Ukraine: Without your freedom, Putin will take ours.
World: Why do you support Putin and not freedom?
Merica: Didn't you hear, really. fucking. expensive.
World: That's not what you told Iraq
    *Iraq shivers in corner*
Merica: I can't hear you over all my freedom

    Still wasn’t wrong.

Anyone who thought she was talking about them wasn’t going to vote for her anyway.

Deplorable was the nicest thing she could have called them.

To continue the argument to its logical conclusion, the U.S. should not have a foreign aid budget while running a fiscal deficit.

What a way to run a Beacon of Freedom!

    We're for freedom everywhere!

(But only when it's fiscally responsible.)

If you don't support trillions of dollars of escalating debt that includes aid to other countries, you don't support freedom. Period.

Since Ragu is in favor of cutting off aid to Ukraine I’m sure he is also in favor of trashing Social Security and Medicare rather than raising the debt ceiling
