do you think America‘s children have benefited from having pornography or even some forms of social media at their fingertips on their phones? I don’t.

Parents should demonstrate better discipline and oversight of their kids’ tech, let’s be clear. And this bill is probably not constitutional. But it’s not the worst idea I’ve ever seen.

 

How, pray tell, would the state of Tennessee enforce this law? It is bordered by what, seven or eight other states? All of them would soon have humongous Apple stores about 10 feet short of their respective state lines. Would the state have the obligation to randomly confiscate any citizen's smartphone to examine it? It's beyond stupid on its face.

 

Exactly.
Seeing as how there likely isn't anywhere in the state you could live and not be in one or more states in an hour, and because area codes are pretty much meaningless for the individual anymore, it's a big "so what."

 

There has been a lot of "Tennessee" on these threads lately, the GOP convention, the cell phone thing, I saw they want to rename part of John Lewis Ave after Trump (the part that runs by the State Capitol), and they've also refused free federal money for HIV prevention. What the hell happened to that state? It went full yahoo?
